My name is Noel Gipson. I am the co-founder of Gappa, together with my fellow IT expert, Agrey Ndonde. The name “Gappa” is a combination of our names. It also stands for Global Access to Professional and Progressive Automation. Gappa is more than a name. It represents our mission. We aim to simplify technology for everyone.
The idea of starting an IT company came to me in 2018. At the time, I was working as a hardware engineer at Agility Grid in Kawe, Dar es Salaam. I worked with many clients and noticed a common problem. Many were afraid of technology. They saw it as complex, difficult, and expensive. Because of this fear, many missed out on the benefits technology offers. I believed I could help. I wanted to make technology simple, useful, and stress-free. My goal was to help people use it with confidence and ease.
I continued working at Agility Grid. Later, I joined NetSoft Consult as a network engineer. In May 2020, when COVID-19 hit Tanzania, work came to a stop. That’s when I decided to become self-employed as an IT expert. My goal was to help others solve their technology challenges. I didn’t know much about self-employment at the time. After five months, I failed and went bankrupt. But I gained valuable lessons. I took time to understand what led to the failure. Those lessons became the foundation for my growth.
I returned to employment, but this time with a clear purpose. I wanted to learn what I was missing and grow my skills. I joined JS Technology, a company focused on security, maintenance, and networking. Later, I worked at Capital Net, which specialized in IT maintenance, networking, and security. During this period, I also took online courses in web design and SEO. I began working as an independent IT consultant. I supported hotels, apartments, offices, and other organizations. I continued consulting until 2024.
My name is Agrey Ndonde. I am the co-founder of Gappa and an experienced IT expert. After graduating in 2015, I started my career in 2016 working in radio and TV show programming in Dar es Salaam. In 2017, I joined Tanzania Tobacco Processors Limited in Morogoro as an IT expert. My roles included IT maintenance, networking, and CCTV camera installation, maintenance, and management.
In 2018, I joined Paymaster Sports Betting in Mwanza as an IT expert. I worked there until 2022. My responsibilities included network engineering for multiple branch offices, maintaining computers and printers, and managing CCTV security systems. This role helped me grow both technically and professionally.
After 2022, I became self-employed as an IT professional, offering services to various clients. In 2024, I met Noel Gipson. We shared the same vision and officially launched Gappa in May 2024, combining our skills to provide reliable and simplified tech solutions.
Our mission is simple. To make technology easier for our clients. We keep learning and improving every day. We listen carefully and focus on what our clients truly need. Above all, we work hard to deliver solutions that satisfy and support their goals.
